Bravo founders and the birth of the Boing

(By Maria Miller)

The original Bravo was formed by Paul Rowe. Formed around June/ July of 2009, Bravo was the first and remains the oldest group in War Machine (then War Metal). Some of the original members of this group included:

Jim Palmer
Eddie Paul McGee
Mike Tomlin
Paul Rowe
Jonathan Brochu
Eddie Corzova
Andrea Banhoff
Jon Groh

Mike Tomlin recruited Valerie into this group in late July 2009, 2-3 week after WM started. Paul Rowe, founder, quit the game and was the founder of the group.
The group was left without a leader / admin and could not function as nobody had any authority / control to do anything with it. So a new Bravo was formed by Eddie Corzova, founder, and Valerie Stein. Most of the members from the original Bravo joined the new Bravo. Some of the original members of the new Bravo included:

Eddie Corzova
Valerie Stein
Jon Groh
Andrea Banhoff
Craig
Blem
Janan Tan
Bane Kovačević
Thomas Lowe
Dennis Slider
Mel Davidson
Tiamat Kwo
Peter Tickle
Graham Burse

Eddie Corzova designed a blue ball to wear as his avatar. His was the original boing.

Others from the group also wanted balls so Eddie made colored balls for the other members. Valerie wore pink.

The Bravo balls have been bouncing around facebook ever since October of 2009.

Dennis Tong started making fancier boing balls with stipes, textures, and boinged other types of balls like baseballs and basketballs. Graham Burse made balls and used other items to make balls - he sported a pumpkin ball. Since then we have seen our boings evolve into more elaborate and artisic balls and include artists like Medyo Bastos, Nicko Pratama Hutapea, and Jonathan Geary.
